Background

Rachel began riding at the age of three outside of Philadelphia at Jack Trainor’s Here and There Farm. As a junior rider, Rachel showed horses for a number of Jack Trainor’s clients and other professionals. As the professional rider for Trainor’s Here and There Farm, she rode to eight AHSA Horse of the Year Titles along with numerous State Titles on Classic, Chocolat and Bittersweet.  In 1995 Rachel moved to Maryland and started her own business, ESP Farm.

Rachel has trained and shown numerous horses to championships on the USEF “AA” Circuit at shows such as the Capital Challenge, Devon, Ocala, Washington International, Upperville, Vermont Summer Festival, and Fairfield. Rachel rode Ebony to the win in the Swan Lake Stables USHJA $10,000.00 Hunter Derby. In 2009 Ebony and Rachel finished 12th Overall in the $100,000 USHJA Hunter Derby Finals.

Client Success

In 2011, Rachel trained Rocky W and Kaitlin Campbell to the win in the $75,000 Upperville Classic.  In addition, she coached both to wins in the Kentucky and Lexington Grand Prix, the championship at Devon in the High Amateur Owner Jumper division and also at Capital Challenge.  Rachel has coached students to championships on the WEF Circuit in the Adult Hunters, Amateur-Owner Jumpers, and Adult Jumpers, as well as numerous placings across all divisions.

Officiating

A USEF Licensed Hunter and Equitation Judge since 1995, Rachel judges a number of horse shows each year and has officiated at such shows as the Winter Equestrian Festival, Kentucky Horse Shows, Hampton Classic, The Legacy Cup, Indio, Del Mar, Menlo, Pebble Beach, Fairfield and Saratoga. She has also officiated at the USEF Pony Finals, USEF Junior Hunter Finals and the USHJA Hunterdon Cup Equitation Finals. In 2015 Kennedy judged the West Coast CET Finals, in 2016 the Maclay Finals, and in 2017 she judged the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Hunt Seat National Finals.  In 2018 she is slated to judge the National NHS 3'3" Equitation Finals.  In addition to judging, Rachel has served on the Board of Directors of the MHSA and PHSA, and is currently a member of the USHJA Zone III Jumper Committee.
